01 — Overview
How the network breaks down
Data note: LinkedIn's connection export has no location field and never includes phone numbers, so Region/Country is inferred only where a country or city is explicitly named in the company/title text (~16% of rows) — the rest are tagged "Unspecified" rather than guessed. Phone is 0% by design; that's exactly the gap an enrichment tool (Lusha etc.) is for. Market/Industry is multi-label — someone can match several markets at once (e.g. a hotel's F&B manager shows up under both Hospitality and F&B), so market bars/filters can add up to more than the total. All tagging is keyword-based off Company + current Position only — LinkedIn's export doesn't include headline, About section, skills, or past-position text, so anyone whose only F&B/industry signal lives in those fields won't be caught here even though they'd surface in LinkedIn's own on-site search. Spot-check before treating any tag as ground truth.
